Build a real career in the trades with a crew that respects hard work, teaches the craft, and gives you steady hours doing work that matters.
At DrainWorks, this isn't just another labor job. You'll be the person who helps solve urgent sewer, septic, drainage, and utility problems for homeowners who need the job done right. You'll work with a team that has your back, learn valuable field skills hands-on, and earn the kind of trust and respect that comes from showing up and doing tough work well.
If you're looking for solid pay, meaningful physical work, and a place where you can grow instead of getting stuck, keep reading.
DrainWorks is a family-owned and operated company built around solving real problems for residential customers. We handle plumbing, sewer, septic, water systems, and field work that keeps homes safe and functional.
As an Excavation Laborer, you'll join a team that values integrity, safety, accountability, learning, and work-life balance. You'll be supported, trained, and treated like an important part of the crew—not just extra hands on a job site.
Your day starts with the crew, the plan, and a clear purpose. You'll be outside, moving, lifting, hauling, and helping keep jobs running safely, cleanly, and efficiently.
You'll be the person who helps the team get equipment and materials where they need to go, whether that's towing trailers, driving company vehicles, or setting the site up for a productive day. You'll also be the person who steps into the physical side of the work—supporting excavation projects and helping solve sewer, septic, drainage, and utility issues for homeowners who count on us.
This role creates real impact. When you show up engaged, safety-minded, and ready to work, the whole crew gets stronger. You'll build hands-on experience, learn the trade from the ground up, and create a path toward a long-term future in excavation and field service work.
You'll earn $25-$28 per hour, based on your experience and fit for the role. On top of that, there are spiffs and bonuses, plus a 3% retirement match, paid holidays, paid time off, your birthday off with pay, a $150 yearly boot credit, company help with health insurance premiums, and continuing education to help you grow.
This is a place for people who work hard and still want a life outside of work. You'll get 35 to 50 hours, regular team huddles, company events, and a crew culture built on respect, support, and clear communication.
If you want more than just a paycheck, you'll find that here too. We believe in helping people master their craft through hands-on mentorship, continued training, and real opportunities to grow into a long-term trade career.
