We are looking for an experienced Barista with an impeccable skill set on making different types of coffee as well as smoothies.
We are a small boutique coffee shop thatt features organic, vegan and gluten free pastries. We are inside a large medical building on Wilshire Blvd.
Must be able to follow directions and be impeccable at cleanliness, restocking and closing duties as well as always having a smile !

Duties
- Lead daily café operations, ensuring timely and accurate retail sales transactions using POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS.
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and food items with precision and consistency.
- Provide outstanding customer service by engaging with guests, addressing inquiries, and creating a friendly atmosphere.
- Supervise and support team members in food handling, food preparation, and serving duties to uphold food safety standards.
- Manage cash handling procedures, including cash register operations, balancing tills, and ensuring accurate cashiering practices.
- Train new staff on POS systems, food safety protocols, and customer service techniques.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, adhering to health regulations and food industry standards.
Requirements
- Proven barista experience with a strong knowledge of coffee preparation techniques.
- Prior experience in retail sales transactions, cashiering, or food service environments.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is highly preferred.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle diverse guest needs confidently.
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during busy periods.
- Knowledge of food safety practices, food handling procedures, and basic math for cash handling and retail math calculations.
- Ability to lead by example, motivate team members, and foster a positive work environment.
- Basic understanding of food preparation and serving standards within the café or food industry.
