Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled line cook to join our team. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment and a strong understanding of food safety and preparation techniques. As a line cook, you will play a crucial role in meal preparation, ensuring that each dish meets our standards of quality and presentation.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and standards.
- Ensure proper food handling and sanitation practices are followed at all times.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen workspace, including equipment and utensils.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service.
- Monitor food inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations in the kitchen.
Experience
- Previous experience as a line cook or in a similar role within a restaurant or dietary department is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of meal preparation techniques, food handling, and food safety standards.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent teamwork skills and the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff.
