Position Overview
College Achieve Central Charter School is seeking committed and reliable Permanent Building Substitute Teachers to provide high-quality instruction and maintain a productive learning environment in the absence of the regular classroom teacher daily. This is a vital role in supporting our mission of preparing all students to excel at a top college or university. The ideal candidate will have strong classroom management skills, a flexible mindset, and a passion for working with children.
Key Responsibilities

Provide meaningful instruction to students in assigned classrooms while the regular teacher is absent

Implement lesson plans left by the classroom teacher or develop engaging activities aligned to learning objectives

Establish a classroom environment that supports academic learning and student engagement

Maintain order and follow school policies and procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of all students

Communicate with students in a respectful and positive manner

Assist with classroom and school duties as assigned, including hallway transitions, lunch, and dismissal

Follow policies and expectations established by the school administration

Provide feedback to classroom teachers on student performance and classroom behavior as needed

Attend professional development opportunities when required
Qualifications
Education and Certification

Minimum of 60 college credits and current enrollment in an education program at an accredited college or university

Valid New Jersey Substitute Teacher Certificate
