Duties
- Operate commercial dishwashing machines and manual cleaning stations to thoroughly clean dishes, cookware, utensils, and kitchen tools
- Follow food safety sanitizing procedures to ensure all items meet health regulations and sanitation standards
- Assist with food preparation tasks when needed, including basic ingredient handling and setup
- Support bussing duties by clearing tables, removing trash, and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas
- Handle manual lifting of heavy pots, pans, and dishware safely according to kitchen health and safety standards
- Maintain organization of clean dishes and ensure proper storage in designated areas
- Follow all kitchen health and safety protocols to prevent cross-contamination and ensure a safe working environment
Skills
- Knowledge of food safety management practices and sanitation procedures
- Experience with dishwashing equipment operation and manual cleaning techniques
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in a busy kitchen setting
- Basic food handling skills with an understanding of proper hygiene standards
