LP Cylinder Route Driver
LOCATION: Marion, IA
JOB TYPE: Full-time
DESCRIPTION:
Performs a wide range of duties including; delivering propane cylinders to customers on a scheduled route. Assists LP service techs in duties. Performs related work as required
Monday – Friday 7:00 a.m – 4:00 p.m.
Overtime and weekends will be required based on weather and workload.
EXAMPLES OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
· Filling, inspecting and delivering full LP cylinders on a scheduled route, and returning empty cylinders to be filled
· Assist LP Service techs in duties
· Maintain inventory and order parts as needed;
· Maintain company vehicle;
· Deliver LP during busy season when help is required – assist in other departments as needed
· Customer service in the form of supplying service information and answering inquiries when interaction with customers occurs;
· Recommend process improvements for increased efficiencies;
· Maintain a safe working environment and wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when required. PPE as required for the job will be provided.
· Regular attendance;
· Other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:
· Ability to manage schedule for servicing and setting tanks, and for cylinder delivery.
· Class B CDL license with air brake, hazmat, and tanker endorsements;
· Must pass a background check and drug and alcohol screen;
· Must have or obtain CETP (Certified Employee Training Program) Certification within the first three months of hire date;
· Ability to maintain positive relationships with customers;
· Ability to communicate effectively and maintain working relationships with other Coop employees, supervisory personnel and the public;
· Ability to understand and make work decisions in accordance with office rules, regulations, policies and procedures;
· Ability to quickly learn and put to use new skills and knowledge brought about by rapidly changing information.
ACCEPTABLE EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING:
· Graduation from High School or GED;
· Maintain CETP certification – Every three years;
· Experience in a similar field preferred, but not required;
· Any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
