Purpose of Position:
Maintains finished-goods shipping schedule and processes by scheduling appointments; inputting shipping
information into database; responds to internal customer inquire regarding shipping status. Work closely with
loading and Production Coordinator to ensure load is complete and maximized.
Responsibilities:
· Maintains shipping schedule by coordinating loading of trucks; scheduling load times; balancing type of
loads; making appointment; controlling flow of schedule.
· Resolves shipping problems by researching product history on database.
· Determines method of shipment by examining items to be shipped and time of shipment.
· Accomplishes department and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
Controls shipments by scheduling loads; verifying quantity and items.
· Accomplishes department and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
· Receives material and supplies from common carriers, open, inspect and match materials with packing slip,
saves into Receiving Log and notifies recipient of delivery
· Ships materials by arranging with carrier and communicating tracking information to affected parties.
· Arrange for materials to be shipped for finishing operations in Tecate by creating pick list and ensuring
materials are properly loaded, communicate pertinent information to Tecate Shipping Department
· Log billet receiving information into system including cast number, chemical composition and quantities.
· Coordinate transfer of customer metal for processing and/or returns by logging material and communicating
detail to internal customers.
Possess strong verbal communication skills, effectively communicates at all levels.
· Responsible to communicate the unusual or out of norm situations to upper management
Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The

1. Maintains a clean and well organized work area
2. Show consistent on time attendance
3. Follow up on status of orders, due dates, changes etc.
4. Check for discrepancies with customer shipments or purchase orders vs. acknowledgement
5. Support shipping staff and maintain communications with customer service and production
6. Update information in EPICS
7. Possess strong verbal and communication skills, ability to communicate at all levels
8. Responsible to communicate the unusual or our of norm situations to upper management
Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
