Job Overview
Our publicly traded client is seeking an experienced accounting professional to join their team as a Senior Accountant.
This role is ideal for a professional with strong experience in corporate accounting within a publicly traded company and a deep understanding of corporate accounting, general ledger, and ERP systems.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards
- Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and monthly close activities
- Assist with the preparation and consolidation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with U.S. GAAP and SEC regulations
- Maintain and enhance internal controls over financial reporting (SOX compliance)
- Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end close processes
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive corporate accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a publicly traded company
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting standards
- Experience with SAP or Microsoft Dynamics ERP systems
- Proficiency with Excel and financial reporting tools
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines
