Who we’re looking for: APRN-PMHNP
Katie’s Way is currently seeking a progressive, compassionate, proficient, and efficient Nurse Practitioner with a positive attitude to join our team. As part of our clinical team, you will work alongside a diverse group of staff members, including technicians, Practice Managers, Regional Managers, and your collaboration psychiatrist, to provide the best possible service to the communities in which we serve.
Job Purpose:
The psychiatric nurse practitioner will provide mental health care to patients who are experiencing varying levels of difficulties due to life situations or mental health concerns and are in need of medication evaluation or management services. As an APRN-PMHNP with Katie’s Way, you will provide services including TMS, psychiatric evaluation, and limited psychotherapy to our patients.
Essential Functions:
- Prescribe, direct, or administer TMS and psychotherapeutic treatments or medications to treat mental, emotional, or behavioral disorders.
- Gather and maintain patient information and records, including social or medical history obtained from patients, relatives, or other professionals.
- Design individualized care plans, using a variety of treatments.
- Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other professionals to discuss treatment plans and progress.
- Analyze and evaluate patient data or test findings to diagnose the nature or extent of mental disorders.
- Counsel outpatients as needed during office visits.
- Advise or inform guardians, relatives, or significant others of patients' conditions or treatment.
- Teach, take continuing education classes, attend conferences or seminars, or conduct research and publish findings to increase understanding of mental, emotional, or behavioral states or disorders.
- Participates in Katie’s Way administrative functions and projects, including occasional public functions and presentations as necessary.
- Assist with patient care equipment, and supplies in accordance with regulatory standards and EHS policies and procedures.
- Abide by all facility policies and procedures and educational requirements.
- Comply with all local, state, and federal regulations training, and instruction requirements, as well as any other standards that govern healthcare services.
- Perform other duties as assigned and permitted by law & training.
Educational Requirements and Licensing or Other Special Certifications Required:
- APRN, PMHNP-BC
- Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
- Licensed to Practice in the assigned state.
- Authorization for Collaborative Practice with Katie’s Way Psychiatrist
- Good knowledge of current psychiatric treatments and trends
