Customer Service and Support Trainee

POSITION SUMMARY
We're looking for a career-driven, detail-oriented individual to join our Inside Sales Customer Service team in an administrative and sales support capacity. This role is structured as a hands-on trainee position — you'll build product knowledge, master our systems, and grow into a confident, productive contributor to the department.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Product & Systems Knowledge
- Study core product features, benefits, and pricing structures
- Complete vendor training modules and sales webinars
- Become proficient with internal communication and self-service tools
Professional Development
- Acquire time management best practices to organize daily workflows
- Build collaborative working relationships with internal teams and external partners
- Create and follow a personal development plan aligned with performance goals and feed loops
- Perform general office tasks and support Team Leaders as needed
Sales & Customer Support
- Learn quotation building using manufacturer's standardized quoting and sales processes (e.g., various vendor-based platforms) for quoting processing and recording
- Support the customer service department with day-to-day administrative needs assisting in building and entering quotations into manufacturer portals and databases
- Provide customer service support and backup phone coverage
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
- Reliability and a collaborative, team-first mindset
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Strong organizational and computer skills
- Detail Oriented
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Previous experience in the electrical industry is a plus
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
