Grant’s Restaurant & Bar in Stowe, VT is seeking a dependable, experienced Line Cook with strong grill station experience to join our kitchen team full-time. We are looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced dinner service, takes pride in consistency and presentation, and works well as part of a professional kitchen team.
Located inside The Stowe Village Inn, Grant’s serves elevated comfort food with seasonal ingredients in a welcoming and energetic atmosphere. Our menu includes steaks, burgers, seafood, seasonal specials, and classic dinner favorites prepared with attention to detail and quality.
Position Details
- Full-time position — 40 hours per week
- Schedule: 2:00 PM to close
- Weekend and holiday availability required

Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items to recipe specifications and presentation standards
- Operate and manage the grill station during dinner service
- Cook steaks, burgers, seafood, and other proteins accurately to temperature
- Season and plate food properly and consistently
- Assist with prep work, station setup, and breakdown
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation throughout service
- Communicate effectively with chefs and kitchen staff during busy service periods
- Ensure all food is prepared and plated in a timely manner
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and kitchen safety standards
- Work with the Executive Chef and Sous Chef on inventory, order lists, and daily prep lists
- Assist with closing duties and kitchen cleanup
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Minimum 2 years of line cook experience preferred
- Strong grill cook experience required
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Comfortable working in a smaller kitchen space
- Knowledge of proper cooking temperatures and food handling procedures
- Experience with sauté, fry, and prep stations is a plus
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to stay organized and multitask during high-volume service
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
