Position Summary
A local primary care practice is seeking a friendly, organized, and customer-service-focused Patient Access Coordinator to join our growing team. This individual will serve as the first point of contact for our patients and play a critical role in creating an exceptional patient experience from scheduling through check-in and follow-up.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Greet and check in patients in a professional and welcoming manner
- Schedule appointments and manage provider schedules
- Verify insurance eligibility and patient demographic information
- Collect copayments, balances, and required documentation
- Answer incoming telephone calls and respond to patient inquiries
- Process patient registration forms and maintain accurate records
- Coordinate with clinical staff to support efficient patient flow
- Assist with referrals, medical records requests, and patient communications as needed
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and confidentiality requirements
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Medical office or customer service experience preferred
- Experience with electronic medical records preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Schedule
- Full-time
- Monday through Friday
- Day shift
