Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our team. The Occupational Therapist will be responsible for assessing patients' needs and developing personalized treatment plans to enhance their daily living skills and overall quality of life.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physical, emotional, and cognitive abilities.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment results and patient goals.
- Implement therapeutic interventions to improve patients' functional abilities
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure cohesive patient care.
- Educate patients and their families on treatment plans and strategies for daily living.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and treatment outcomes.
- Stay current with medical terminology and best practices in occupational therapy.
Qualifications
- Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Valid state licensure or certification as an Occupational Therapist.
- Experience in patient care within acute care, school settings, home health, skilled nursing facilities, or clinics is preferred.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology relevant to occupational therapy practices.
- Ability to work effectively with individuals across various age groups and backgrounds.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Compassionate approach to assisting patients in achieving their therapeutic goals.
- Familiarity with early intervention strategies is a plus.
