Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Preschool Lead Teacher to inspire young learners and foster a nurturing, engaging classroom environment. As a key leader in early childhood education, you will design and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum, support children’s social and emotional growth, and collaborate closely with families to ensure each child's success. Responsibilities
- Develop and execute creative, age-appropriate lesson plans that promote literacy, math skills, physical activity, and social-emotional development.
- Lead daily classroom activities for preschool-aged children, ensuring a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment.
- Implement classroom management strategies that foster positive behavior and encourage cooperative play.
- Collaborate with families through regular communication to share progress, address concerns, and celebrate milestones.
- Incorporate specialized instruction such as special education strategies or early intervention techniques when needed.
- Maintain compliance with mandated reporting laws and ensure adherence to health and safety regulations including first aid and CPR protocols.
- Use assessment tools and standardized testing methods to monitor child development progress and tailor instruction accordingly.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working with young children in a preschool or childcare setting, with strong knowledge of childhood development principles.
- Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development, lesson planning, classroom management, and behavior management techniques.
- Experience with special education needs, early intervention programs, or literacy education is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills for parent engagement and team collaboration.
- Certification in first aid and CPR required; additional credentials in early childhood education or childhood development preferred.
- Familiarity with mandated reporting laws, child welfare practices, and standards for preschool teaching.
- Ability to lead classroom activities that include physical education components and support overall child wellness.
