Spray Equipment & Service Center is looking for a dependable Industrial Coating Systems Installation Technician to join our work team. The purpose of this position is to install, configure, commission, and support new industrial paint and coating equipment and systems with exemplary customer satisfaction. This position requires flexibility to travel extensively (50–90%), with regular overnight stays and occasional weekend work.

JOB DUTIES
· Install new industrial paint, coating, and finishing equipment and systems at customer facilities according to project plans, manufacturer specifications, engineering drawings, and customer requirements.
· Assemble and configure complete coating systems, including pumps, spray equipment, fluid handling systems, controls, hoses, regulators, filters, pressure equipment, and related components.
· Perform mechanical installation activities including equipment positioning, layout, leveling, anchoring, piping, tubing, hose routing, and component assembly.
· Connect and assist with the installation of pneumatic, hydraulic, fluid, and electrical systems in accordance with equipment specifications and applicable codes.
· Read and interpret equipment manuals, engineering drawings, schematics, P&IDs, installation instructions, and project documentation to ensure proper system installation.
· Work closely with electricians, millwrights, pipefitters, contractors, engineers, and customer personnel to coordinate installation activities and keep projects moving efficiently.
· Assist with equipment layout and system placement to ensure proper accessibility, functionality, safety, and integration with existing customer processes.
· Inspect incoming equipment and components to verify quantities, condition, specifications, and completeness prior to installation.
· Prepare equipment and systems for startup by completing assembly, connections, adjustments, calibration, and required installation checks.
· Troubleshoot installation and startup issues using mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and fluid-system knowledge to identify and correct problems during commissioning.
· Identify installation deficiencies, incomplete work, or equipment issues and communicate them promptly to project management, sales, engineering, or other appropriate personnel.
· Provide on-site technical support throughout installation projects and assist with resolving field conditions or changes that may affect project scope, schedule, or performance.
· Communicate professionally with customers throughout the installation process, providing project updates, explaining equipment operation, and addressing questions or concerns.
· Maintain an organized service vehicle, tool inventory, and work area, ensuring tools and installation equipment are in good working condition and ready for deployment.
· Maintain a clean, organized, and safe jobsite throughout the installation process and ensure tools, materials, hoses, wiring, and equipment are properly managed.
· Collaborate with the sales, service, engineering, and project management teams to ensure installations meet customer expectations and project specifications.
· Provide field feedback regarding equipment performance, installation challenges, product design, and opportunities for improving installation processes.
· Participate in continuous improvement initiatives designed to improve installation efficiency, project execution, safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.
· Perform all work in strict compliance with OSHA, facility, and company safety protocols, including proper PPE use and lockout/tagout when required.
· Identify potential safety hazards at customer sites and communicate findings or recommendations to appropriate personnel.
· Perform other installation, commissioning, and project-related duties as assigned.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
· High School diploma or equivalent.
· Two years’ experience in the mechanical field or related field is preferred.
· Troubleshooting skills
· Ability to communicate basic information in a professional, polite and courteous manner.
· Attention to detail.
· Ability to manage multiple tasks at the same time
· Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
· Demonstrated strong mechanical aptitude, including the ability to work with tools, equipment, and mechanical systems.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) for documentation, reporting, and communication.
· Willingness and ability to travel extensively (50–90%), including overnight stays and weekends.
· A self-starter who demonstrates the ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
