Job Summary
13GEM Sporting is looking for a talented, experienced, and reliable coach to join us as a Head Coach. We operate programs across multiple sport and exercise modalities, so this coach must have the knowledge and skill to span them all. Currently, 13GEM operates a Soccer and Basketball program and will add a Flag Football program in the Fall. The coach hired must be able to help in all three sports and have to potential to help with more. We coach children ages 3-17, so the coach hired must be able to work with all ages.
The most important ability is availability, and the most important component of availability is reliability. We need a coach who shows up to practice reliably. We are looking for the type of person who finds reasons to show up to coach and fulfill their responsibilities, not reasons to call out.
Ideally this coach will be an experienced PE teacher or a new PE teacher, fresh out of college and enthusiastic about starting to teach; but this is not necessary. Several years of experience coaching in each sport or a Health & Fitness degree and certification with no “official” prior coaching experience is necessary. This coach must be able to design curricula and practice plans as well as follow highly detailed curricula and practice plans created and provided by 13GEM Sporting. We have designed a highly effective and desirable program full of great content and activities, and we are looking for coaches to add to the existing curricula.
13GEM Sporting is a small club that is growing rapidly and we are looking for coaches that align with the vision and want to be part of the growth of 13GEM. We want more than mere employees; we want coaches that believe in the future of the club and want to be part of that growth. As the club grows and programs increase, more paid hours will be available. The intention is for this to start as a part-time job with as many hours as possible that grows into a full-time job.
