Job Summary
Join our dynamic team as a Regional Truck Driver and take charge of delivering freight efficiently across designated regions. This role offers an exciting opportunity to operate a tractor-trailers, tankers, Hoppers. As a key player in our logistics network, you will ensure timely deliveries, safe load handling, and excellent customer service. Your expertise in driving different vehicle types and managing freight loads will keep our operations running smoothly and reliably.
Duties
- Safely operate a range of commercial trucks including automatic transmission tractor-trailers, Feed Grade Tankers and Hoppers across regional routes
- Load and unload freight efficiently using appropriate equipment
- Deliver freight to various locations while adhering to scheduled routes and delivery timelines
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with transportation regulations
- Manage documentation related to shipments, delivery logs, and route reports accurately
- Maintain communication with dispatch teams regarding delivery status and any issues encountered during routes
- Follow all safety protocols related to driving, cargo handling, and vehicle operation to ensure personal and team safety
Qualifications
- Proven experience in truck driving with a focus on commercial driving environments; delivery driver experience is highly valued
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with endorsements suitable for operating tractor-trailers, Tankers and Hoppers
- Familiarity with freight handling such as pumping and air off the product
- Knowledge of load securing techniques for various types of freight including tanker loads
- Ability to navigate regional routes efficiently while adhering to traffic laws and safety standards
- Strong attention to detail for vehicle inspections, documentation accuracy, and load management
