Position Summary: The Production Mixer will set up, operate, or tend machines to mix or blend materials for processing, using hand tools or other devices. The Production Mixer will weigh or measure materials, ingredients, or products to ensure conformance to requirements. Will transfer materials, supplies, or products between work areas, using moving equipment or hand tools.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operates mixing equipment to blend materials for processing to bottle and pack.
- Follow production batch sheets and work instructions to achieve accurate formulations.
- Scan and record traceability information on production documentation, either manually or via an electronic scanning system.
- Perform scheduled sanitation tasks as outlined by the master sanitation schedule.
- Perform warehousing tasks by using FIFO- First in First Out.
- Compound or process ingredients according to formulas.
- Observe production or monitor equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
- Mix or blend ingredients by starting machines and mixing for specified times.
- Unload or pour specified amounts of materials into machinery or equipment based on batch ticket formulation.
- Collect samples of materials or products for laboratory testing.
- Operate or tend machines to mix or blend any of a wide variety of materials.
- Stop mixing or blending machines when specified product qualities are obtained and open valves and start pumps to transfer mixtures.
- Receive loads of trucks with a wide variety of liquid items, while utilizing the truck’s pump to transfer them into assigned holding tanks.
Skills/ Abilities:
o Sit down forklift experience preferred.
o Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. repeatedly, and maneuver / roll / push a 500+ lbs. drums in a fast-paced environment.
o Physically capable of regular lifting, bending, reaching, and standing on concrete floor for shift duration.
o May work at different workstations as production needs require or shift from one line to another during the process.
o Able to understand and follow good manufacturing practices (GMP), standardized sanitary operating procedures (SSOP), and (SQF).
o Computer knowledge (Microsoft office) for documentation reporting.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic Math Skills and conversions.
- Ability to work overtime when needed, including weekends.
Required Education & Experience:
o High School diploma, and 2 – 4 years of related experience or training in the food beverage industry.
o Reliable, punctual and with a positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team.
o Must be approachable, proactive, and self-directive with the ability to give direction to the associates, delegate tasks, and provide associates’ feedback.
o Must be detailed orientated, have strong reading, written, and verbal communication skills and solid problem-solving abilities.
