Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in both industrial and automotive/aircraft painting, with a strong understanding of various painting techniques and materials. This role requires attention to detail, the ability to work independently and as part of a team, and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards in all painting projects.
Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and applying primers as needed.
- Apply paint using various methods including paint spraying and hand tools.
- Operate forklifts and cranes safely to transport materials and equipment as required.
- Utilize power tools for surface preparation and finishing tasks.
- Conduct basic math calculations for measuring areas and mixing paint accurately.
- Collaborate with team members on fabrication and assembly projects that require precision painting.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Perform auto body repair and auto painting tasks when necessary, ensuring high-quality finishes.
- Assist in materials handling and warehouse operations as needed.
Skills
- Proficient in industrial painting techniques with experience in construction painting.
- Familiarity with mechanical knowledge related to machinery operation and maintenance.
- Experience in manufacturing processes, including machining and lean manufacturing principles.
- Skilled in using precision measuring instruments for accurate application of paint.
- Knowledge of welding techniques is a plus, along with experience using hand tools and power tools.
- Ability to work effectively in a warehouse environment with an understanding of materials handling practices.
