Duties
- Assist clients in understanding insurance options and mortgage products tailored to their needs
- Gather and analyze client financial information to support loan origination and underwriting processes
- Use Loan Origination Systems (LOS) and financial software to process applications accurately and efficiently
- Conduct credit analysis and evaluate risk factors in compliance with FNMA (Fannie Mae) guidelines and Fair Housing regulations
- Support negotiation efforts between clients and lenders to secure favorable loan terms
- Maintain clear communication with clients throughout the loan process, providing updates and answering questions
- Ensure all activities adhere to industry standards, banking regulations, TILA (Truth in Lending Act), and mortgage servicing requirements
Requirements
- Strong understanding of sales techniques, customer service principles, and relationship building in financial sales
- Basic math skills including 10-key typing proficiency and credit analysis capabilities
- Familiarity with mortgage lending processes, loan processing, underwriting, escrow procedures, and compliance with loan regulations
- Knowledge of industry-specific software such as Quicken, accounting software, or other financial tools
- Ability to interpret contracts, legal documents, and banking regulations related to mortgage lending and insurance services
- Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration
- Experience or interest in retail lending, commercial lending analysis, or banking regulatory compliance is a plus
- Demonstrated ability to learn quickly about industry regulations including TILA, FNMA standards, Fair Housing laws, and financial services compliance
