Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Clinical Nurse Manager to lead and coordinate nursing services within a diverse healthcare setting. Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise nursing staff across multiple units, ensuring high-quality patient care aligned with organizational standards and regulatory requirements
- Coordinate patient assessments, medical documentation, and care plans utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Oversee clinical procedures including IV infusion, catheterization, tube feeding, sterile processing, and ventilator management while maintaining infection control protocols
- Facilitate interdisciplinary collaboration among physicians, therapists, case managers, and support staff to optimize patient outcomes
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain accurate medical records, including ICD coding (ICD-9/10), CPT coding, and DRG documentation for billing purposes
- Manage staffing schedules, supervise team performance, conduct evaluations, and promote professional development through ongoing training
- Implement quality improvement initiatives focused on patient safety, acute pain management, dementia care, behavioral health support, and discharge planning
Qualifications
- Valid RN licensure with current registration; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Extensive clinical experience
- Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience managing nursing teams in fast-paced environments
- Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems
- Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, pharmacology, medical terminology and diagnostic evaluation techniques
- Ability to perform patient assessments including vital signs monitoring, physical examinations, venipuncture (phlebotomy), injection administration and specimen collection/processing
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental disabilities; familiarity with dementia care and behavioral health strategies is highly desirable
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and healthcare compliance standards such as NCQA standards for quality assurance
- Excellent communication skills coupled with a proactive approach to team management and patient care coordination
