Unarmed Security Officer
Location: Upscale Residential Community

We are seeking a professional and dependable Unarmed Security Officer / Rover to provide patrol and pool security services for an upscale residential complex. The ideal candidate will maintain a visible security presence, ensure the safety of residents and guests, and uphold community policies and procedures.

Job Summary
We are looking for a competent Security Officer to undertake the surveillance of our premises and protection of residents, staff, and visitors. You will be responsible for detecting suspicious behavior, preventing vandalism, theft, and other criminal activity, while maintaining a safe and secure environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong observation skills, professionalism, and the ability to handle situations calmly and effectively.
Responsibilities
- Patrol premises regularly to maintain order and establish a security presence
- Monitor and authorize entrance of vehicles and individuals onto the property
- Remove unauthorized individuals or trespassers from the premises
- Secure exits, doors, and windows as required
- Monitor surveillance cameras and identify disruptions or unlawful activities
- Investigate suspicious activity and report findings
- Respond to alarms and emergency situations appropriately
- Provide assistance to residents, guests, and visitors when needed
- Enforce community rules and pool area regulations
- Observe and report safety hazards, maintenance concerns, and incidents
- Detain individuals according to legal protocols when necessary until authorities arrive
- Complete detailed daily activity reports and incident reports
- Maintain a professional appearance and customer-service-oriented attitude at all times
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Security Officer, Security Guard, or related position preferred
- Knowledge of legal guidelines for security operations and public safety
- Familiarity with report writing and documentation
- Excellent observation and surveillance skills
- Comfortable using technology and surveillance systems
- First Aid/BLS certification preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Active Security Officer registration/license (if required by state regulations)
- High School Diploma or GED required
