We are seeking Energetic, Career-Minded candidates for Restaurant General Manager!
Position Overview
The Sea Dog Brewpub General Manager is the operational and cultural leader of the brewpub, responsible for delivering an exceptional guest experience, driving financial performance, and ensuring smooth day‑to‑day operations. This role oversees all front‑of‑house and back‑of‑house functions, partners closely with our Management and the Local Community rooted in hospitality, quality, and consistency.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Management
- Recruit, hire, train, and develop a high‑performing team across FOH and BOH.
- Create and maintain a positive, inclusive, and accountable workplace culture.
- Schedule staff effectively to balance labor costs with service standards.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and coaching conversations.
Guest Experience
- Ensure every guest receives warm, attentive, and knowledgeable service.
- Maintain high standards for cleanliness, ambiance, and service flow.
- Resolve guest concerns with professionalism and follow‑through.
- Champion the Sea Dog Brewing Company brand, story, and beer education.
Operations & Compliance
- Oversee daily operations including opening/closing procedures, cash handling, and inventory.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and alcohol service regulations.
- Maintain equipment, coordinate repairs, and uphold facility standards.
- Implement and refine SOP in line with Sea Dog Brewing Company’s Management Team to improve efficiency and consistency.
Financial Management
- Manage budgets, forecasting, and P&L performance.
- Monitor COGS, labor, and operating expenses to meet financial targets.
- Analyze sales trends and identify opportunities to increase revenue.
- Oversee purchasing, vendor relationships, and inventory controls.
Collaboration with Brewing Team
- Work closely with Management on beer release planning, inventory, and quality.
- Coordinate staff training on beer styles, brewing processes, and pairings.
- Support brewery events, tastings, and promotional initiatives.
Marketing & Community Engagement
- Partner with marketing to execute promotions, events, and social media initiatives.
- Build strong relationships within the local community.
- Represent the brewpub at festivals, collaborations, and industry events.
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of management experience in hospitality, preferably in a brewpub, taproom, or restaurant.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
- Solid understanding of craft beer, beer service, and food‑and‑beverage operations.
- Proven ability to manage budgets, scheduling, and operational systems.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- ServSafe and alcohol service certifications preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (e.g., kegs, cases, equipment).
- Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment.

Pay: $68,000.00 - $72,000.00 per year
