We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Master GSE (Ground Support Equipment) Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join our dynamic maintenance team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy-duty and ground support equipment GSE. equipment including aircraft ground support machinery, industrial vehicles, and some farm machinery.

Duties
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, air and hydraulic brakes, and HVAC systems across diverse equipment types.
- Conduct routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire service, wheel alignments, shocks & struts replacement, and brake repairs to maximize equipment lifespan.
- Utilize schematics, technical manuals, and electronic diagnostic tools to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues efficiently.
- Fabricate custom parts or modifications using power tools and welding techniques to meet specific operational needs.
- Daily Inspect and repair ground support equipment including mostly aircraft tugs, pushbacks, belt loaders, forklifts, ground power units, airstarts, and other industrial machinery.
- Assist in assembly or disassembly of equipment components during major repairs or upgrades while maintaining safety standards.
- Support heavy lifting operations using appropriate tools and techniques to handle large components safely.
- Proven mechanic experience with a focus on diesel engines and industrial equipment maintenance in a dealership or service environment, preferable aviation or forklift / heavy equipment
- Demonstrated ability to read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and electrical diagrams accurately.
- Hands-on experience with automotive diagnostics tools as well as fabrication skills including welding, cutting torch and soldering.
- Knowledge of heavy equipment operation such as GSE Equipment, forklifts, and farm machinery is highly desirable.
Tools and Equipment Used
- Hand tools: Such as Wrenches (various sizes and types), screwdrivers, pliers, socket sets, hammers, pry bars and Allen keys.
- Power tools: such as impact wrenches, drills, grinders, and pneumatic tools
- Diagnostic equipment: such as multimeters, potentiometers, OBD-II scanners, pressure gauges, leak detectors
- Lifting and support equipment: Hydraulic pressure testers, batter load testers, fuel injection testers, tire changing equipment.
- Safety equipment: Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), Fire Extinguishers, spill containment kits
- Cleaning Equipment: Parts washers, pressure washers
- Welding and cutting equipment:
- Current ASE Certifications a plus but not mandatory
- Basic Computer skills to read email and read electrical schematic and hydraulic schematic are required
EDUCATION:
- Highschool diploma or equivalent Required.
- Technical school certification in automotive or aviation mechanics or trade school training or completion and/or mechanical background a plus but not mandtaory
Pay: $38.80 - $48.50 per hour
