American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery Recovery Postpartum position requiring C-section circulation skills and Epic EMR experience.
-
Work in a 6-bed Labor & Delivery unit with one C-section OR in a hospital setting
-
Unit averages 100 deliveries monthly, collaborating with both OBGYNs and midwives
-
Manage laboring patients, circulate and assist in C-sections, and recover both labor and surgical patients
-
Uses Epic EMR system
-
Night shift, 7:00pm to 7:00am
-
Every other weekend (EOW) required
-
Every other holiday (EOH) required
-
No on-call responsibilities
-
48 hours per week schedule highly preferred, though 36-hour contracts will be considered
-
12-hour shifts, 4 days per week
-
Active RN license (Standard or Compact) in North Carolina
-
Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NRP
-
Minimum of one year of nursing experience required
-
5 years of L&D experience highly preferred
-
Nursing Diploma, ADN, or ASN required; BSN or MSN preferred
-
Epic EMR experience required

Must be able to circulate for C-sections

Must be able to triage for OB patients

Point of care testing experience required

Provide competent clinical nursing care consistent with professional standards under the direction of the Nurse Manager/Director
-
Coordinate and deliver patient care utilizing the nursing process in a hospital setting
-
Perform bedside point of care testing as required for the patient care plan
-
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to evaluate and plan patient care
-
Assess and address physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety needs of patients and families
-
Participate in unit goals and performance improvement activities
