This role supports two interventional radiology physicians in a private practice between offices in Edison and Princeton. Responsibilities
- Assist healthcare providers during patient examinations and procedures, ensuring smooth clinical operations.
- Take and record accurate vital signs, patient histories, and medication information using Electronic Health Record (EHR) Athena systems
- Prepare patients for examinations by explaining procedures, and answering questions.
- Support outpatient care by managing patient intake, updating medical records, and coordinating follow-up appointments.
- Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment, adhering to infection control standards and safety protocols.
- Utilize knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, and medical terminology to assist in patient assessments and documentation
Skills
- Proven experience in private practice medicine settings with a focus on patient service excellence
- Skilled in performing vital signs measurement, ICD coding, and basic X-ray procedures when applicable
- Familiarity with outpatient clinic environments
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred
- Excellent communication skills with a compassionate approach to patient care and team collaboration
