Advanced Psychiatry of Elgin is looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Part-Time Billing Specialist to join our team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently, solving problems, and providing excellent customer service while supporting the day-to-day billing operations.
We would be looking for someone to work Monday through Friday for 4-5 hours per day. Example: 9:00-1:00PM or 2:00-6:00PM
Responsibilities
- Verify patient insurance benefits and eligibility
- Make calls to patients and insurance companies as needed
- Answer and respond to incoming phone calls
- Post insurance and patient payments accurately
- Assist with daily billing tasks and follow-up
- Research and resolve billing and insurance issues
Experience/Skills
- Prior experience in the Medical field strongly preferred
- Prior experience with Billing and Insurance is preferred
- Strong math skills
- Phone Etiquette
- High School diploma required
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
