Position: Administrative Assistant
Pay range: $18.00 - $24.00

Summary:
As a key member of our team, you’ll be the voice and face of our practice! You will drive our daily operations by managing high-energy communications, seamlessly coordinating patient referrals in our EMR, and welcoming new patients through our pre-registration process. Working side-by-side with our physicians, you’ll also provide vital front-desk support at our West Des Moines and Ankeny locations – ensuring every patient enjoys a smooth, professional check-in from the moment they walk through the door.
Professional Contributions:
- Act as the vital link between our patients and care team by managing high-energy communications across phone, text, and email.
- Work side-by-side with clinical providers to handle essential correspondence and ensure smooth, professional communication with patients and partners.
- Maintain the integrity of our digital office by expertly digitizing records into the EMR, ensuring every patient's history is audit-ready and accurate.
- Take the lead in resolving patient billing inquiries, collaborating with our billing partners to provide clarity and peace of mind for our families.
- Guide new patients through their first steps with us, managing referrals and pre-registration to ensure a seamless entry into our care.
- Optimize the daily flow of the clinic by monitoring and reviewing patient schedules to minimize wait times and maximize provider efficiency.
- Ensure the fiscal health of the practice by accurately managing demographics, insurance verification, and co-payment collection with professional precision.
- Support the complete patient journey by providing vital aftercare information and performing high-level administrative functions as needed.

Education and Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 2 years of office experience, preferably in a healthcare environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook, Teams and ability to quickly learn new software systems, such as EMR systems.
