Mimosa Christian Counseling Center is seeking a compassionate and skilled Licensed Mental Health Therapist to provide outpatient counseling services primarily for children and adolescents, with some adult clients as needed, in a supportive nonprofit practice setting.
This position is being created to help support the continued growth and expansion of services at MCCC, including maintaining continuity of care during an upcoming maternity leave transition.
As MCCC continues expanding services for underserved populations—including Spanish-speaking clients and Medicare recipients—we are seeking a fully licensed therapist who can help support these growing community needs. Preference will be given to bilingual (English/Spanish) candidates.
Because MCCC provides counseling from a Christian perspective, we are seeking a therapist who is comfortable working within a faith-based counseling environment and who values compassionate, respectful, and ethically grounded care.
Qualifications
- Fully licensed in North Carolina as an LCMHC, LCSW, or equivalent independent clinical license
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical counseling experience
- Experience working with children and adolescents
- Strong documentation and EMR skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Experience with Medicare recipients and older adults
- Experience in Christian counseling or faith-integrated therapy
- Additional specialty training such as EMDR, trauma-informed care, or play therapy
Compensation & Schedule
- 1099 Independent Contractor Position
- Flexible schedule with the ability to create and manage your own schedule
- Competitive contractor compensation averaging approximately $60–$75 per clinical hour depending on session type and caseload mix
- Administrative support provided for scheduling, billing, referrals, and insurance processing
