Who We Are
Most people think dog daycare is about watching dogs. We think it's about creating trust. Every phone call, every Meet & Greet, every clean lobby, every recommendation, every photo and every tail wag contributes to that trust. We're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys staying busy, solving problems, helping teammates and making every pet parent feel like family.
This Isn't a Front Desk Job
Your home base is the front desk—but your responsibility extends throughout the building. Some days you'll spend most of your shift answering phones, touring new families and enrolling dogs. Other days you'll be creating Instagram content, helping with lunches, assisting the spa, supporting events, vacuuming the hallways, folding laundry or helping the playroom team catch up. The ability to recognize where you're needed most and pivot without being asked is the defining trait of this role.
Compensation & Benefits
- Hourly Pay: $16.50–$22.00 based on proven experience
- Free daycare for your own dog after probationary period
- Free spa services for your own dog
- Employee discount on all services
- Paid training and ongoing education
- Career growth opportunities
- Weekend availability is required. Depending on staffing, this may range from occasional weekend rotations to every weekend.
- Full-time position
- This role supports AM, PM and weekend shifts. Scheduling needs may vary, and team members must be willing to help across shifts based on current staffing and business needs.
Primary Responsibilities
- Deliver an exceptional first impression in person, by phone and by email.
- Answer phones, voicemails and emails promptly and professionally.
- Respond to leads and schedule Meet & Greets.
- Conduct Meet & Greets and confidently convert tours into enrollments.
- Recommend the daycare plan that best fits each dog's age, energy level and personality.
- Educate pet parents on daycare frequency, boarding, spa services, enrichment, lunch treats and other services that can improve their pup's experience.
- Look for natural opportunities to recommend additional services, events or enrollment options based on the individual dog's needs.
- Maintain accurate HUB records including vaccines, appointments, boarding details and spa scheduling.
- Coordinate grooming and spa services from drop-off through checkout.
- Monitor lobby flow and communicate proactively with pet parents.
- Create social media photos, videos, stories, Dog of the Week features and event content.
- Help organize newsletters, event calendars, chalkboards and in-store promotions.
Operational Support
- Own the cleanliness and presentation of the lobby and all customer-facing areas.
- Vacuum, mop, sanitize counters, windows, doors and common areas.
- Carry the cordless phone while supporting the building and return immediately when customers need assistance.
- Assist with lunches, boarding preparation, spa support, nail trims, laundry, dishes, dog running and hallway cleaning as primary workload allows.
- Provide additional support to the back of house team whenever business levels allow.
- Jump in wherever help is needed—never leave teammates behind because a task 'isn't your job.'
Sales Philosophy
We don't believe in high-pressure sales. We believe in recommending what is genuinely best for the dog. If a young, high-energy dog will thrive attending three days per week instead of one, we expect you to confidently explain why. The same applies to suggesting an exit bath or event for an overnight guest, a lunchtime treat, or another service that could make a pup's day better. Often, successful upselling is as simple as genuinely asking the right question and educating the pet parent on the benefit. You should believe in what you're recommending and understand how it improves the dog's experience, not simply repeat a sales script. Our goal is to educate, build trust and recommend services that create safer playgroups, happier dogs and a better overall experience.
Who Thrives Here
- You must genuinely LOVE dogs!
- You naturally look for the next thing that needs to be done.
- You enjoy talking with people and build relationships easily.
- You stay positive under pressure.
- You know when to solve a problem and when to involve a manager.
- You don't wait to be told what to do.
- You believe no task is beneath you.
- You leave every shift making the next person's day easier.
This Probably Isn't the Right Fit If...
- You're looking for a job where you sit behind a desk.
- You spend downtime on your phone waiting for instructions.
- You avoid sales conversations or are uncomfortable making recommendations.
- You prefer working independently rather than as part of a team.
- You believe certain tasks are 'someone else's job.'
Our Promise
If you bring energy, accountability, compassion and a willingness to grow, we'll invest in your success. We promote from within whenever possible, celebrate people who lead by example and believe the best customer experiences are created by teams that genuinely enjoy working together.
