Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, air brakes, hydraulics, suspension systems, and electrical systems using OEM schematics and advanced diagnostic tools.
- Conduct routine maintenance including oil changes, tire service, brake repairs, alignment checks, and HVAC system servicing to extend equipment lifespan.
- Troubleshoot complex issues across various machinery such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors, farm machinery, and construction equipment.
- Fabricate parts or components as needed using welding, hand tools, power tools, and fabrication techniques to meet specific repair requirements.
- Inspect heavy equipment for safety compliance and operational efficiency; perform repairs on construction machinery and industrial equipment to minimize downtime.
- Maintain detailed service records, repair logs, and diagnostic reports; adhere to safety protocols during all maintenance activities.
- Assist with heavy lifting tasks and perform equipment assembly or disassembly for repairs or upgrades.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic with dealership experience preferred; strong background in heavy equipment maintenance is essential.
- Proficiency in electrical diagnostics, automotive diagnostics, schematics reading, and troubleshooting equipment issues.
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other fabrication tools safely and effectively.
- Knowledge of construction machinery servicing including excavators, cranes, loaders, and farm machinery; familiarity with Caterpillar or OEM parts is advantageous.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely; experience with tire service and wheel alignment is a plus.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of transmissions, diesel engine repair, air brake systems, hydraulics, suspension systems, HVAC systems, and electrical systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on customer service; capable of working independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments.

Pay: $28.93 - $34.85 per hour
