Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring clarity and efficiency
- Serve food, beverages, cocktails, and spirits with professionalism and enthusiasm, including handling wine knowledge and cocktail preparation
- Process cash and credit card transactions accurately while managing sales transactions with integrity
- Upsell menu items, specials, or beverages to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and adhering to food safety protocols
- Assist with food handling, food preparation support, and kitchen communication as needed to ensure smooth operations
Requirements
- Previous food service experience in restaurants or hospitality environments is highly preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; OpenTable experience is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude and excellent communication abilities
- Knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail mixing, and beverage service techniques
- Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Basic math skills for processing payments accurately and handling cash transactions
- Understanding of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Experience in fine dining or high-volume restaurants is advantageous but not required; enthusiasm for learning is essential
