The Arc of Monmouth is looking for a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to work per diem at our Campus Parkway Adult Services location in Wall NJ to add to our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a full range of physical therapy therapeutic interventions under the supervision of a Licensed Physical Therapist (PT).
Pay: $33.00 - $36.00 per hour

Documenting services provided to Adults with Intellectual and or developmental disabilities

Implementing each patient’s treatment plan as directed by a PT

Monitoring and documenting patients’ progress and response to treatment

Administering manual exercises

Providing instruction to individuals in performing physical activities, including manual and non-manual exercises, ambulatory functional activities, and daily activities

Maintaining a safe and clean environment

Ensuring compliance with all applicable rules and regulations

Experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a compassionate and patient-focused attitude

Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team

Basic knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology

Physical stamina and the ability to lift and move equipment and assist patients as required

Degree from a Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education-accredited physical therapist assistant education
