Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Laser Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining laser cutting equipment to produce precise components and parts. Your expertise in laser technology, machinery operation, and quality control will ensure that production runs smoothly, efficiently, and safely. Duties
- Set up laser cutting machines, including programming and calibration using CAD (Computer-Aided Design) files and CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software to ensure accurate cuts.
- Operate laser equipment such as fiber or CO2 lasers, ensuring optimal performance while adhering to safety protocols.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) specifications to produce high-precision parts.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on laser machinery, including Fanuc controls and CNC (Computer Numerical Control) systems.
- Use precision measuring instruments like calipers and micrometers to verify dimensions and quality of finished products.
- Handle materials safely using forklifts and other materials handling equipment; prepare raw materials for processing.
- Conduct quality control inspections throughout the production process to meet strict manufacturing standards.
- Maintain detailed records of production runs, machine settings, and inspection results for traceability.
- Support fabrication tasks such as welding, tooling adjustments, or assembly line operations as needed in the manufacturing facility.
Experience
- Prior experience operating laser cutting machines in a manufacturing or factory environment is highly preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with familiarity in CNC programming, CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, press brake machines, stamping presses, and flexo presses is advantageous.
- Proficiency with Fanuc controls, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), SolidWorks CAD software, and CAM programming tools is desirable.
- Hands-on experience with blueprint reading, GD&T standards, machining processes, welding techniques, and fabrication practices is essential.
- Demonstrated ability to use hand tools, precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and calipers, and basic math skills for accurate measurements.
- Warehouse experience involving materials handling and packaging operations will be considered a plus.

2nd shift: 3 PM - 11:30 PM Mon-Fri
Pay
$16.00 - $17.00 per hour with a 5% shift differential for 2nd shift.
