Halal Feast O is a growing, restaurant group based in Buffalo, NY .As we modernize our operations, we're making our first dedicated investment in data and reporting. . We are seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented entry level Business Systems & Data Analyst to lead the development of our Odoo ERP platform and build live Business Intelligence (BI) dashboards to drive quick, data-driven operational decisions.
What You’ll Do:
Your primary focus will be creating automated workflows and building interactive, real-time dashboards .These dashboards will visually display key performance indicators (KPIs) to help ownership make rapid, day-to-day decisions regarding inventory, staffing, and marketing budgets
- Audit existing data sources, including our POS system and third-party vendor platforms
- Configure and set up relevant Odoo ERP modules
- Migrate and validate historical and ongoing business data
- Build recurring, automated reports (sales, inventory, cost tracking).
- Executive Decision Support: Provide ownership with weekly visual reporting and data-driven recommendations to support rapid decision-making on inventory orders, employee scheduling, and customer menu adjustments .
- System Integration : Pull data from third-party delivery platforms and in-store POS terminals into a central database.
- Marketing Intelligence Support: Conduct analysis on customer purchase history to segment customer data and provide key quantitative insights to the marketing team to boost campaign effectiveness.
Qualifications & Skills:
Education:
- Experience with POS (point-of-sale) systems — comfortable pulling reports/exports (Toast, Square, Clover, or similar a plus)
- Strong Excel/spreadsheet skills, and comfort picking up new software platforms quickly .
- Bachelor's degree or Master's in computer science, Data Science, Business Analytics, Information Systems, or a related quantitative field.
- Technical Proficiencies: Python, SQL, database design, and API data management.
- Data Visualization: Hands-on experience building visual dashboards or utilizing business intelligence tools to summarize complex datasets.
- Platform Knowledge: Prior experience or coursework with Odoo ERP (or similar systems like SAP SAC, Oracle, NetSuite) is strongly preferred
- Soft Skills: Ability to work independently in a fast-paced retail environment, think logically, and translate raw numbers into quick, practical business solutions .
- Practical experience using AI tools like Claude Code or ChatGPT Codex to speed up data cleaning, analysis, and reporting.
- Strong written and verbal communication — able to explain data findings in plain language to non-technical leadership.
Work Schedule & Compensation:
Hours: Variable schedule ranging from 25 to 40 hours per week depending on seasonal demand and implementation needs.
Pay: Hourly rate starting between $18.00 to $23.00 per hour, paid weekly
