Bilingual HR Generalist (Spanish/English)

United Staffing Solutions is representing a growing packaging manufacturer and retailer seeking an experienced Bilingual HR Generalist to join their team in Piscataway, NJ. This is a direct hire opportunity starting immediately for an HR professional who can work independently with minimal training in a fast-paced environment.
Schedule: Monday–Friday 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Salary: $58,000–$65,000 per year depending on experience
Responsibilities for the HR Generalist:
- Processing payroll for approximately 124 hourly employees and 33 salaried employees
- Handling child support orders, garnishments, and payroll-related deductions
- Managing workers’ compensation claims and incident reports
- Supporting employee relations matters with professionalism and discretion
- Preparing verification of employment letters and employment documentation
- Maintaining organized employee files and HR records through SharePoint
- Running employee and payroll-related reports
- Handling OSHA form filings and liaising during OSHA investigations
- Communicating with the Department of Labor and providing requested reports
- Recruiting through Indeed, walk-ins, and employee referrals
- Screening, interviewing, onboarding, and offboarding employees
- Supporting HR compliance and day-to-day HR operations
- Managing HR processes for both onsite and remote employees
Requirements for the HR Generalist:
- Minimum 2 years of HR and payroll experience required
- Experience processing New Jersey payroll is REQUIRED
- Strong understanding of NJ labor laws and compliance requirements
- Bilingual Spanish/English REQUIRED
- Experience handling HR functions with limited supervision
- Experience with Excelforce HR/payroll software preferred
- Experience using SharePoint for employee file management preferred
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
