Overview:
- The Transportation Platforms & Solution Director is a strategic leadership role responsible for end-to-end lifecycle management of global transportation and logistics platforms and solutions in PepsiCo globally.

The purpose of this role is to lead Transportation Platforms & Solutions capability as a part of SC & Planning Platforms organization. This role will lead the Transportation Platforms & Solutions DevOps team responsible for design, implementation and support of global Transportation Platforms and Solutions. We are seeking a strong team leader with depth of functional knowledge in Transportation area specifically and in Supply Chain in general. Candidate in this role is with strong Supply Chain process and IT knowledge.

The successful candidate will deliver and sustain the Transportation Platforms & Solutions roadmap, leading the deployments envisaged across multiple markets as well as global sustain organization and process for already deployed solutions.

This role requires a mix of business and technical acumen, people management, stakeholder engagement and management, and a process optimisation mindset. The expectation is you will be hands-on, leading the delivery of key outcomes and continuous improvement in the service.

You will partner with and support the Transportation Transformation Leadership in explaining solution capabilities, identifying new adoption opportunities, providing cost and time estimates for new initiatives, aligning solution roadmaps and continuous improvements plans, mobilizing programs and project teams for execution, updating on project and programs delivery status.

You will work with the Enterprise Architecture Leads to support EA in functional fit-gap analysis and assessing process and integration options.

You will drive the transportation platforms and solutions technical strategy collaborating with solution vendors to influence vendor’s roadmaps, manage cloud migrations, releases and upgrades.

You will partner with Sector Deployment Leads for sector deployments of global solutions on time on scope and on budget.

The core applications in scope are Transportation Management System (TMS) for North America (ETMS) and Internation (gTMS) markets and Transportation Control Tower (TCT) provided by Blue Yonder, Thomson Reuters import/export platform and Fleet management.
Responsibilities:
- IT functional ownership of global Transportation platforms and solutions in scope

Lead the IT team accountable for Transportation platforms and solutions implementation and support globally in PepsiCo.

Establishes strong relationships with senior Transportation transformation leadership and sector deployment leadership and teams

Establish and lead DevOps practices for Transportation platforms, including automated build, test, and deployment pipelines, environment strategy, and configuration management.

Be accountable for incident management, problem management, and release management processes for all supported applications, SLA compliance, driving rootcause analysis and continuous improvement of stability and performance in partnership with managed service providers.

Manage service providers responsible for incident and problem management for solutions in scope.

Owns the strategic roadmap for global Transportation platforms and solutions, including the definition of the case for change, and gaining investment approval, including determining funding source.

Oversees prioritization and agrees timing for delivery of projects/programs for Transportation and ensures value realization plans and accountabilities are in place.

Partners with transformation leadership and sector deployment and business to ensure high quality deployment of solutions end-to-end from initiation to execution to business leverage.

Effectively collaborate across TS&EP organization globally for SAP and Supply Chain Hub (SCH) integration and dependencies with transportation platforms.

Lead enterprise products and platforms risk assessments and enable effective applications control environment.

Own strategic partnership with Blue Yonder: joint roadmap, release calendar, and feature adoption.

Manage financials including AOP, investment planning, run costs and resource staffing

Build, mentor, and develop high-performing global team.
Compensation and Benefits:

The expected compensation range for this position is between $132,200 - $262,400.

Bonus based on performance and eligibility target payout is 25% of annual salary paid out annually and an additional target payout of 10% of annual salary is paid out over 3 years following the end of the performance period.

Long term incentive equity may be awarded based on eligibility and performance.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required.

10+ years of experience managing teams configuring, deploying, sustaining Transportation IT solutions.

Proven people management and leadership experience and strong interpersonal skills
-
Transportation execution and planning process deep knowledge in food industry.

General Supply Chain process acumen in FMCG / CPG
-
IT service management knowledge.

Very strong project management skills and knowledge of agile and waterfall methodologies.

Demonstrable capability of building trust across different cultures, ability to manage challenging stakeholders at all levels. Strong communication, interpersonal and mentoring skills. Proven ability to influence and collaborate cross-functionally and with vendors.

Autonomous self-starter – not afraid to get stuck into the detail (technical or functional) to get things moving and drive delivery or problem-solving when required. Flexibility to adapt to the demands of the moment – self-reliance & ability to adapt to a changing environment, to achieve the desired outcome.

Ideal: Blue Yonder TMS / TCT platform experience, SAP ECC / S4 experience, proven complex programs and projects delivery, deep Transportation process knowledge and broad knowledge of Supply Planning processes & systems.
