What is the Position?
PartsBadger is scaling our FastLane rapid machining program — a highly automated, high-mix/low-volume machining system built around 3+2 machining centers and Universal Robots cobots.
We’re not maintaining legacy equipment.
We’re designing and deploying new automation every week.
If you’re a hands-on builder who understands machining and wants to push automation further, this is your lane.
This position reports to the VP of R&D with activities coordinated by the program lead.
Work Environment:
This is a full time in-office/shop position. PartsBadger has multiple locations with headquarters in Cedarburg, Wisconsin and an Advanced Manufacturing Center in West Bend, Wisconsin. PartsBadger has a relaxed, casual office environment, and a clean, organized, yet dynamic shop environment. All work areas are environmentally controlled. PartsBadger maintains AS9100 and ISO9001:2015 certifications.
This role is centered around our fastlane program which is highly automated job shop style prototype work. We work with almost every material available including steels, aluminums, exotics, plastics and more.
Duties & Responsibilities:Day-to-Day
- Collaborate with Project Managers and Software Developers.
- Create and complete tasks within the Project Management Software (Jira).
- Select, integrate, and deploy automation technologies.
- Provide support and responding to tickets
- Installing, updating and maintaining automation technology.
- Design, manufacture, and assemble parts and components for automation
- Write code in HTML and JavaScript
- Test ideas and technology
- As Required: CNC Programming in Fusion and Other CAM software (Testing)
- As Required: CNC Machine Setup and Operation (Test Cell)
Management
- Create and maintain support and deployment documentation.
- Maintain updates and revisions of technology.
Strategic
- Idea Generation.
- Assist in setting priority and estimating development time.
- Research and evaluate technologies
Required Qualifications:
- Machining Industry Tooling Knowledge
- 3+ Years Experience Programming 3+2 Axis Milling
- 3+ Years Experience Setting up 3+2 Axis Machines
- 1+ Years Experience with Automation Technologies
- Robotics
- Pneumatics
- A/C - D/C Electronics
- Ability to Learn Fusion and other CAM Software
- Above Average Ability to Model in CAD Software
- Ability to learnHTML and JavaScript Quickly
- Above Average Computer Skills
- Ability to Learn Independently

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience with Fusion 360

- Experience with Injection Molding, Mold Design
- Experience with High Growth Companies
- Bilingual - Spanish or Vietnamese
