Overview
Join our dynamic team at DRB Transport Inc as a Tanker Trailer Wash Technician. In this position, you'll be responsible for thoroughly cleaning the top and rear of tanker trailers to ensure they meet the highest standards of Food Grade A Cleanliness. This job is physically demanding and includes scrubbing by hand, lifting up to 50 lbs, climbing a flight of 10-15 steps up to a catwalk, and repetitive squatting/hand and knees work. Technicians do not manually clean the interior of the trailers, the interior wash is automatic with the use of the CIP Wash systems. This role does require technicians to drive a manual semi to stage trailers on the lot. On the job training is offered.
Responsibilities
- Operate wash equipment safely and efficiently to clean tanker trailers, ensuring all surfaces are spotless and free of debris or residue
- Perform exterior trailer washes on DRB Transport equipment to help maintain a professional appearance - technicians are not responsible for external companies exterior washes.
- Maintain building cleanliness and safety by spraying floors, picking up trash, and preforming weekly cleaning tasks with the team.
- Use various cleaning chemicals tools and equipment such as pressure washers.
- Follow safe work practices at all times, including heavy lifting techniques and proper handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Inspect trailers and yard trucks for any apparent damage or maintenance needs, reporting issues promptly to ensure safety compliance.
- Keep neat and detailed records of daily wash outs.
- Use of electronics: Laptop for schedule and smart phone payments.
Experience
- Prior experience in cleaning, or janitorial work is highly desirable.
- Ability to operate Semi Tractor Trucks with manual transmission confidently and safely OR a willingness to learn if not currently experienced .
- Experience with heavy lifting and the use of various cleaning equipment required for thorough trailer washing.
- Strong communication skills to assist with new customers and peers.
- High attention to detail for cleaning and recording wash outs.
Shifts
- Day Shift: Lead technician on duty. From 6:30am to 3:00pm. Responsible for opening tasks such as staging trailers, preparing paperwork, preparing work stations and unlocking offices, along with regular trailer washing tasks throughout the shift.
- Mid Shift: Assisting the lead technician. From 10:30am to 5:30pm. Responsible working the dedicated weekly station for trailer wash, assisting to ensure trucks and trailers are moved safety and efficiently, assisting in creating and filling out paperwork, and working independently when a lead takes a dedicated break.
- Night Shift: Lead technician on duty. From 3:00pm to 11:30pm. Responsible for closing tasks such as staging trailers, double checking paperwork, cleaning work stations and locking offices, along with regular trailer washing tasks throughout the shift.

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
