Position Summary
Responsible for testing, troubleshooting, and validating electrical control products, assemblies, and control panels to ensure compliance with company, customer, UL, CSA, and regulatory requirements. Approximately 70% of this role is dedicated to product testing and production support, with the remaining time supporting engineering documentation, engineering changes, and new product development.
Responsibilities
- Perform electrical, mechanical, and functional testing of electrical control products and assemblies.
- Troubleshoot product failures and support root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Verify compliance with engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, specifications, and applicable standards.
- Document test results and maintain accurate engineering records.
- Develop and improve test procedures, inspection plans, and work instructions.
- Support engineering with occasional electrical design work, engineering changes, and product improvements for new and existing products.
- Create and modify electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and bills of materials using AutoCAD 2D as required.
- Support UL, CSA, and regulatory compliance activities.
- Work directly with customers and suppliers to resolve technical issues.
- Supervise and provide technical guidance during product assembly and prototype builds.
- Follow established document control procedures and engineering change processes.
- Support production with troubleshooting, technical training, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience testing and troubleshooting electrical control systems or industrial electrical equipment.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD 2D.
- Understanding of document control procedures and engineering change processes.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications.
- Experience with UL, CSA, NEC, or IEC standards is preferred.
- Ability to work directly with customers and suppliers.
- Ability to supervise assembly work and provide hands-on production support.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year

Experience:
