LBL Fabrications is one of Northern New England's premier manufacturers and installers of granite, quartz, marble, solid surface, and Dekton countertops. We are looking for an experienced Digital Countertop Templaterwho takes pride in precision, professionalism, and delivering an exceptional customer experience.
Our templaters are one of the most important members of our team—they are the first face our customers see after purchasing their countertops. Accuracy, communication, and attention to detail are critical to our success.
This is a full-time, year-round position with a company vehicle, company-provided tools and equipment, competitive benefits, paid holidays, paid time off, and opportunities for professional growth.
Salary is based on experience.
Responsibilities
- Digitally template residential and commercial countertop projects using company-provided digital templating equipment.
- Measure and create accurate templates for granite, quartz, marble, solid surface, and other countertop materials.
- Review layouts and identify potential installation or fabrication concerns before production.
- Work with Project Managers, Programmers, and the Fabrication Team to ensure each project is completed accurately.
- Communicate professionally with homeowners, contractors, builders, and designers.
- Contact customers approximately one hour before scheduled appointments and arrive on time.
- Upload all scans, photographs, and job documentation daily.
- Maintain company vehicle, equipment, and mileage logs.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and professional work environment.
- Read blueprints, cabinet layouts, and construction drawings.
- Troubleshoot field conditions and recommend practical solutions.
- Maintain accurate records of all measurements and templates.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous countertop templating experience required.
- Prior countertop fabrication, installation, or construction experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of granite, quartz, marble, and solid surface products.
- Experience with LT D2/D3 Laser or Proliner Software is preferred but not required.
- Ability to accurately read blueprints and construction drawings.
- Strong mathematical and measuring skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Outstanding customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with a team.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, squat, climb stairs and ladders, and lift materials as required.
- Ability to use measuring devices and digital templating equipment.
- Ability to lift and carry equipment and work in residential and commercial environments.
