Lead Direct Support Professional
Lead DSP Qualifications:
Have a minimum 12 months experience working as a DSP
Consistently meets performance expectations
Demonstrates strong documentation and compliance practices
Recognized subject matter expert and role model
Serves as "go to" resource for DSP staff
Supports shift operations and quality oversight
Lead DSP Expectations:
Serve as role model for trauma-informed care and professional conduct
Demonstrate CPI mastery and advanced de-escalation skills
Function as the "go-to" resource for DSP staff
Provide shift leadership in absence for job related items (not personnel)
Assist with onboarding new staff
Review documentation quality and provide feedback
Support incident response and crisis management
Monitor staffing ratios and communicate operational concerns
Take lead during complex behavioral situations until leadership arrives
Assist leadership with audits, observations, and regulatory readiness
