An established and highly respected commercial construction company is seeking an experienced Preconstruction Manager to join its growing team in Berwick, Pennsylvania.
This is an outstanding opportunity to lead the preconstruction process on complex, high-profile commercial projects while working closely with clients, architects, engineers, and internal operations teams. You'll play a key role in shaping project strategy from concept through to construction, ensuring projects are delivered on budget, on schedule, and with the highest level of quality.
Responsibilities
- Lead the preconstruction process from conceptual design through project handover.
- Develop conceptual estimates, detailed budgets, and cost plans throughout design.
- Coordinate with clients, architects, engineers, consultants, and internal teams.
- Perform constructability reviews and provide value engineering recommendations.
- Develop procurement strategies and manage subcontractor bidding and evaluations.
- Identify project risks and recommend cost and schedule solutions.
- Support contract negotiations and assist with project planning.
- Ensure a seamless transition from preconstruction into project delivery.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships throughout the preconstruction phase.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in Preconstruction, Estimating, Project Management, or a related role with a commercial General Contractor.
- Strong experience in conceptual estimating, budgeting, value engineering, and procurement.
- Experience working directly with clients and design teams during project development.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred.
Preferred Project Experience
Experience delivering projects within one or more of the following sectors is highly desirable:
