Job Overview
Front Desk Associate is responsible for checking in/out members of the gym as well as signing members for memberships as needed. Additionally, associate will be responsible for answering the phone and maintaining the cleanliness of the front desk area. Associate will be responsible for greeting all members upon entry and dealing with member accounts. This role may be in charge of working the desk alone during certain parts of the day and must be comfortable doing so. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing exceptional customer service . This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle cash transactions accurately.
Duties
- Enthusiastically greets each members and guests promptly to create a friendly positive entrance and departure to and from the gym
- Provides security and control to the front door and retail area of the facility
- Personally, checks each member into the gym using the proper check-in procedures.
- Monitor check-ins to identify delinquent accounts and attempts to collect payment
- Handle cash transactions, including payments and deposits, ensuring accuracy in cash handling
- Maintain the front desk area, ensuring it is clean and organized
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries regarding gym
- Ensures that guests and appointments are directed to the appropriate fitness consultant in a prompt, professional manner
- Meet monthly sales goals by selling new memberships, upgrades, and add-ons
- Assist in marketing initiatives and gym events
- Address member complaints and concerns and escalates to leadership as needed
- Enforce all gym policies and safety rules to reduce the chance of any accidents and to maintain a safe and comfortable environment in which clients can exercise
- Clean and maintain all fitness equipment so that it is ready for clients to use at any time
Pay: From $10.00 per hour
Experience:
- Customer service: 1 year (Required)
License/Certification:
- CPR Certification (Preferred)
