Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage waitlists efficiently to ensure timely seating
- Take accurate orders from guests using POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable
- Deliver food and beverages promptly from kitchen to tables, ensuring presentation standards are met
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including basic meal assembly and garnishing
- Maintain cleanliness by bussing tables, clearing dishes, and performing light cleaning duties throughout service
- Handle cash transactions accurately and process payments using POS systems; provide friendly in-person customer service
- Support kitchen staff with dishwashing, food handling, and adhering to food safety standards
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a host/hostess or in food service is highly preferred; experience with restaurant operations is a plus
- Strong communication skills with excellent phone etiquette and guest relations abilities
- Ability to perform basic math accurately for order taking and cash handling
- Knowledge of food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures
- Experience with beverage preparation, catering, banquet service, or delivery driving is advantageous
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable enhances efficiency
- Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude
