The highly sought-after Suly Beauty Salon is looking for an experienced, professional, and friendly Salon Receptionist-Hair Assistant to join our award winning team!
Owned and operated by Master Stylist and expert colorist, Suly, our salon is a hub of beauty, creativity, and passion. Suly is excited to share his extensive knowledge with all new team members as we continue to grow and welcome more stylists and clients. The advantage of the reception position is the ability to make money through tips, commission and hourly pay.
Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Hair Salon Manager to lead our team with enthusiasm and expertise. This role is perfect for a motivated professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, excels at team management, and is passionate about delivering exceptional customer service. As the Hair Salon Manager, you will oversee daily salon operations, manage staff, ensure client satisfaction, and drive business growth through effective sales and marketing strategies. Your leadership will inspire a positive work culture while maintaining high standards of service quality. Duties
- Lead and supervise salon staff, including hairstylists and support personnel, ensuring excellent customer service and professional standards are maintained and everyone is kept on schedule
- Oversee daily operations such as scheduling shifts, managing appointments, and ensuring smooth workflow
- Recruit, interview, and onboard new team members to build a talented and motivated team
- Manage inventory control, purchasing supplies, and maintaining salon cleanliness and organization
- Handle payroll processing, bookkeeping, and cash handling to ensure accurate financial records
- Develop marketing initiatives to attract new clients and retain existing ones, including promotional campaigns and social media engagement
Skills
- Strong management skills with proven supervisory experience in retail or service environments
- Excellent communication skills in multiple languages; bilingual abilities are highly valued as well as having earned a cosmetology license
- Proficiency in negotiation, sales management, and retail math to meet revenue goals
- Experience with POS systems, inventory management software, and cash handling procedures
- Ability to lead team training & development initiatives while fostering a positive work environment
- Skilled in merchandising, marketing strategies, pricing techniques, and retail sales techniques
- Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail in scheduling, bookkeeping, and store operations
- Demonstrated leadership in managing budgets, shift management, and store management tasks
- Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently in a busy setting, is a multi-tasking pro
- Knowledge of employee orientation processes, interviewing techniques, and recruiting best practices
