Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate roofing crews to execute projects efficiently, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and project specifications.
- Interpret construction plans, schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings related to roofing systems, including metal roofing, single-ply membrane roofing, and restoration work.
- Oversee the safe use of ladders, scaffolding, power tools, hand tools, and heavy lifting equipment on outdoor construction sites.
- Ensure compliance with all construction workplace safety regulations, including the proper use of safety harnesses and fall protection measures.
- Perform roofing repair, siding installation, stucco application, and other exterior restoration tasks with precision and attention to detail.
- Manage materials fabrication and handling of metal studs framing, masonry components, plumbing fixtures, caulking materials, tile laying supplies, and other construction elements.
- Read and interpret technical drawings and schematics to guide installation processes accurately while coordinating with project managers and clients.
- Maintain a clean and organized work site by following safety protocols diligently and supervising proper disposal of waste materials.
- Train team members on safe ladder use, scaffold setup, tool operation, and adherence to construction safety standards.
- Document project progress through reports and logs; communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of quality work.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in roofing installation or repair, including metal roofing and single-ply membrane systems.
- Strong background in construction estimating, blueprint reading, interpreting technical drawings, and schematics.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, heavy lifting equipment, and fabrication techniques relevant to roofing and exterior restoration projects.
- Knowledge of construction safety harnesses, ladder use best practices, OSHA regulations (or equivalent), and general workplace safety standards.
- Experience with siding installation, stucco application, masonry work (including concrete forming), framing carpentry (metal stud framing), tile laying, caulking techniques, remodeling projects, welding basics, plumbing integration, masonry skills, drywall finishing (trim carpentry), handyman tasks, restoration processes; welding experience is a plus.
- Ability to interpret technical plans accurately while managing multiple tasks on outdoor job sites.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams while maintaining high safety standards.
- Physical stamina for outdoor work in varying weather conditions; capable of heavy lifting as required for construction tasks.
