Job Summary
We are looking for a General Laborer to join our team and become a vital part of our operational success! In this energetic role, you will perform a variety of physical tasks to support fabrication, manufacturing, and maintenance projects. Your proactive attitude and strong work ethic will help ensure projects run smoothly, safely, and efficiently. Responsibilities
- Assist with loading, unloading, and moving materials, tools, and equipment across the plant facility - Occasionally using forklifts and overhead cranes
- Weigh material and determine proper packaging methods
- Count & verify parts to accurately fill customer orders
- Prepare work areas by cleaning and organizing supplies to ensure safety and efficiency
- Follow safety protocols diligently to maintain a secure work environment for yourself and others
- Operate basic machinery or equipment when trained and authorized to do so
- Grind parts to customer specs using hand grinders, belt sanders and die grinders
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as sweeping, trash removal, or minor repairs
- Collaborate effectively with team members to meet project deadlines and quality standards
Skills
- Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labor for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 75lbs; team lift required for heavier loads
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and safety guidelines accurately
- Ability to perform basic math and read basic blueprints
- Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards collaborative efforts
- Basic understanding of safety procedures related to manufacturing and fabrication environments
- Reliable attendance and punctuality to support project timelines
- Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to changing job requirements
- Prior experience in general labor or related fields is a plus but not required
- Prior experience operating overhead cranes and forklifts is a plus but not required
Working Conditions:
This is an indoor manufacturing environment. You can expect loud noise, vibration, airborne metal particles, and exposure to soaps, oils, and other shop chemicals. The role requires continual standing, walking, lifting, and repetitive motions throughout the shift.
