SCOPE
The End User Systems Technician provides escalated end-user systems support across the organization, with a focus on endpoint troubleshooting, device lifecycle support, Microsoft 365 services, account access, business applications, and hardware and software issue resolution. This role serves as an escalation resource for technical issues, supports endpoint deployments and refreshes, and works closely with other IT teams to resolve incidents and service requests in a timely manner.
The ideal candidate is customer-focused, technically capable, organized, and comfortable supporting users both remotely and in person.
Responsibilities:
- Provide escalated technical support for computers, mobile devices, audio/visual systems, printers, peripherals, and related end-user systems.
- Set up, configure, deploy, and troubleshoot computers and related end-user equipment.
- Manage and deploy devices and software using Microsoft Intune.
- Install, update, and support approved company software and business applications.
- Document escalations, service requests, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions in the ticketing system.
- Support endpoint onboarding, offboarding, hardware refreshes, office moves, and other end-user systems initiatives.
- Travel to remote office, field, or jobsite locations as needed to provide hands-on technical support, equipment deployment, troubleshooting, and user assistance.
- Maintain a professional, helpful, and service-oriented approach when working with employees at all levels of the organization.
Education and Experience:
- Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred; equivalent work experience will be considered.
- Previous experience in Desktop Support, Endpoint Support, Field Support, Systems Support, or a similar technical support role preferred.
Technical Skills:
- Working knowledge of Windows operating systems, endpoint troubleshooting, and desktop support methods.
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 applications, including Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, Word, Excel, and SharePoint.
- Basic understanding of Active Directory, Entra ID, user accounts, groups, permissions, and password management.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Intune for device and application management.
- Experience using ticketing systems, remote support tools, endpoint management platforms, and knowledge base documentation.
Technical Abilities:
- Strong troubleshooting, diagnostic, installation, upgrade, and repair skills.
- Clear written and verbal communication with both technical and non-technical users.
- Ability to prioritize work, manage multiple tickets, and follow issues through to resolution.
- Dependable, flexible, and willing to learn new tools, processes, and technologies.
- Professional, patient, and supportive approach to end-user support.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This role may require travel to remote office, field, or jobsite locations as business needs require. The position may involve sitting, standing, walking, reaching, bending, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling. The employee must be able to lift and move computer equipment and related hardware weighing up to 50 pounds.
