We are seeking an experienced Station Trainer – Ramp Operations to lead the training, development, and certification of our ramp employees. This position is responsible for ensuring new and current team members are properly trained in safe aircraft ground handling procedures, company policies, regulatory compliance, and operational best practices.
The ideal candidate has extensive airline ramp experience, a passion for coaching others, and a strong commitment to safety, operational excellence, and employee development. This is a hands-on role requiring both classroom instruction and on-the-job training in a fast-paced airport environment
What You'll Do
- Lead new hire orientation and hands-on ramp training.
- Deliver recurrent and safety training for existing employees.
- Train employees on aircraft loading, baggage handling, cargo operations, aircraft arrivals and departures, and ground support equipment.
- Observe employee performance and provide coaching and constructive feedback.
- Ensure compliance with airline procedures, company policies, and applicable safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate training records and employee certifications.
- Promote safe work practices and foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Support operational audits, safety initiatives, and process improvements.
What We're Looking For
Required
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 1 years of ground handling experience.
- Previous training, mentoring, or coaching experience.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to obtain airport security clearance and any required certifications.
- Ability to lift up to 70 pounds and work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, holidays, and varying shifts.
Preferred
- Experience operating a variety of ground support equipment.
- Strong knowledge of airline safety procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Experience with employee training documentation or learning management systems.
